Public Engagement
The term public engagement is used to describe the many ways in which the activity and benefits of higher education and research can be shared with the public for mutual benefit. Engaging with the public is of increasing strategic importance for higher education, to strengthen relevance, responsiveness and accountability and to build trust. Public engagement can enrich and animate the work of universities with new ideas, critical challenges and curiosity.
