Children's Literature, Environmental Imagination & Ecopedagogy
Book Exhibition - Nature Agency
Project
The Book Exhibition “Nature Agency. Children’s Literature, Environmental Imagination & Ecopedagogy”, organised by the Research Group on Children’s Literature, FISPPA Department, in collaboration with the Beato Pellegrino Library, aims to raise awareness on sustainability, social justice and cultural diversity in children’s literature’s research. These perspectives show how stories can open a dialogue with young readers on particularly pressing contemporary issues: biodiversity, climate change, social justice, inclusion, gender equality and ecocentric visions.
The Exhibition is designed with the intention of reading children’s books according to an ecocritical perspective capable of giving voice to the agency of all living species.
The Book Exhibition is organised in three sections: Human Voice and Other Voices; Voices from the Heights, Voices from the Abyss, Voices from the Middle Lands; Nature in the Voices of Women. Biographies and Studies on Ecocriticism.
