Nina Goga

Nina Goga is a Professor of Children’s Literature at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, where she spearheads the influential research group Nature in Children’s Literature and Culture. Her scholarly trajectory has increasingly converged at the intersection of ecocriticism and materiality, evidenced by her leadership of the international Green Dialogues project (2022–2025). This initiative, culminating in the 2026 volume The Green Dialogues: Ecocritical Pathways to Children’s Literature in Education, examines how aesthetic entanglements with multimodal texts foster ecological agency. By integrating posthumanist perspectives with didactic frameworks, Goga’s recent inquiries into vibrant matter and hybridity—highlighted in her 2025 study on water-centric narratives in Bookbird—redefine the pedagogical potential of children’s media. Her editorial stewardship for the Children’s Literature, Culture, and Cognitionseries further underscores her commitment to advancing global discourses on how literary landscapes and nature-culture matrices shape modern childhood and environmental development.
