Eleonore Hamaide-Jager

Eleonore Hamaide-Jager serves as a Senior Lecturer at Artois University, where her research significantly advances the theoretical understanding of contemporary children’s literature. Affiliated with the “Textes et Cultures” laboratory, her scholarly inquiry centers on the evolution of the picture book [l’album] and the complex mechanics of intertextuality within narratives for young readers. Her extensive body of work meticulously explores the resurgence of the Robinsonade genre, examining how classic survival archetypes are reconfigured to address modern environmental and social concerns. Beyond generic studies, she investigates the intersection of hypermediality and literary education, analyzing how digital shifts redefine reading practices. Through her recent coordination of collaborative research projects and editorial contributions to major academic journals, Hamaide-Jager bridges the gap between traditional narrative structures and innovative pedagogies, establishing a critical framework for assessing the aesthetic and ideological functions of contemporary youth media.
