Children’s and Young Adult literature can play as one of the protective factors that can assist young people in helping reshape sex imagery, revealing and fighting gender-based stereotypes, emphasising mutual respect, and the meaning of consent to resist bullying and sexual coercion. In the lecture, professor Campagnaro focuses on some special book objects, offering insights into the characteristics of healthy romantic relationships, as well as revealing and fighting gender-based stereotypes in children’s and YA books.
