Xabier Etxaniz is a Senior Lecturer at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). He has a PhD in Pedagogy with his doctoral thesis on the History of Basque children’s and young adults’ literature. He has collaborated with multiple journals writing essays on children’s literature (on ideology, history and teaching children’s literature) and presented at national and international congresses and conferences. He is member of the Thematic Research Network ‘Iberian and Latin American Children’s and Young Adult Literature’ (LIJMI). He combines his work as researcher and teacher with children’s literature outreach on magazines and newspapers in the Basque Country and Spain.
