
Macarena García González
Macarena García-González holds a PhD in Social Anthropology and Cultural Studies from the University of Zurich, and she is currently Associated Researcher at the Center for Advanced Studies in Educational Justice and Lecturer at the Faculty of Communications of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. She has authored Origin Narratives. The Stories We Tell Children about Immigration and International Adoption (Routledge, 2017) and several articles on children’s literature and culture. She is the leading researcher of “Emotional and Literary Repertoires for Childhood” (Fondecyt), a project on affective dimensions in relation to texts for children. She is the convener of the coming IRSCL Congress, “Aesthetic and Pedagogic Entanglements”.
