Iria Sobrino-Freire is a Lecturer in the area of Methods of Language and Literature Teaching at the Faculty of Education of the University of A Coruña (Galicia, Spain) since 2009. She holds a PhD in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature. Her research interests include picturebooks, critical literacy, traditional oral literature, literary education and the Galician Language in Early Childhood Education. She has participated in several research projects in the field of Development Education and is currently part of an interuniversity team investigating the construction of normalcy in Spanish children’s literature.
