Science for All - School
Project
Science for all is a new event by the University of Padova that communicates science in a simple and fun way. An unmissable opportunity for children to feel like scientists for a day and to learn thanks to experiments, games, quizzes, workshops, guided tours and scientific demonstrations within everyone’s reach.
Starting with some significant objects of science and knowledge and interweaving them with the lives of some of the protagonists recounted in the series of biographies “Storie libere”, realised by the University of Padova for its nineteenth-century celebrations, two workshops have been proposed, one aimed at primary schools and one aimed at secondary schools:
- The telescope and the shell: divergence and wonder in the world of science
- Nibs, inkwells and hats: objects for telling your story
The workshops take as their starting point three key questions: how can identity be told? What messages to convey? How to tell the past to the children of today?
